A 5-yard kilt is a popular choice for people who are traveling to warmer climates or who are simply looking for a lighter kilt option. With over 100 tartans to choose from; a 5-yard kilt is ideal for casual events and parties.
All of our kilts are made in Scotland and made from 100% worsted wool. This kilt is machine stitched, with some features finished by hand. There are 2 sizing straps and 2 belt loops at the back of the kilt.
A 5-yard kilt cannot be altered in the future, but they do come with adjustable straps where you will have some movement to tighten and loosen off the waist.
The kilt will be pleated to the sett, which means that the tartan at the back of the kilt has been pleated in such a way that it mirrors the pattern on the front.
